Where do lessons take place?

Lessons take place in my home. I do not go to students homes. I am also available for online tuition via Zoom or Skype.

Yes, I am happy to teach through Skype or Zoom.

What is the lesson cancellation policy?

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. When cancelling or rearranging a lesson, 24 hour's notice must be given otherwise the full lesson fee will be charged. Non-attendance will also be subject to the full fee.

What is the late policy?

If you are running late for your lesson, please try to let me know as soon as possible. If contact is not made by, at the latest, 15 minutes after the agreed start time, students will be marked as a no-show and charged the full lesson fee. 
Please note that if you arrive late, I may not be able to provide the full lesson length, but will charge for what was originally booked.

I am/my child is a beginner/returner/adult learner, will you take me/them on?

Yes, I teach all ages and abilities. I also have experience in teaching students with additional emotional and physical challenges.

 

Do I have to own my own piano?

It helps. However, a keyboard with 66 piano weighted keys would also be suitable.

 

Can I take grades?

Yes, you can. I teach to the ABRSM syllabus.

Do I have to take grades?

No, you don't. You can go just as far without formal exams.

Will you play for me for free?

No.
